Switching User reset problem

I have Windows XP Home edition and i have my family as users. Now we used to
be able to have more then one person signed on at once. Now whenever there is
a person signed on and your "switch user" and try to log on another name the
computer resets. I'm pretty good with computers and i can't figure it out at
all. An email would be great on how to fix the problem
