Switching off

Having problems with my Windows XP Pro (SP2) as when I go to "Turn off
computer" (on the Start menu) and select "Switch Off" or "Restart" I
lose the normal screens and it saves my settings but then gets to
"Closing Windows" and then it sticks. Ctrl-Alt-Delete does nothing.


Has anyone any ideas on this?
