Switchboard/Wizard Compile Errors

I seem to be having 'Compile Errors' when I use wizards
to create forms/reports/switchboards.

For example, when creating a switchboard and I try to add
a new switchboard item, I get the msg: "Compile error.
in query expression 'IIf(IsNull([Argument]), "",
([Argument]))'

Another example, when I use the report wizard to create a
new report based on a query, when I get to one of the
last steps which asks how I would want to lay out the
report, I get the following error msg: "Compile error.
in query expression 'IIf(IsNumeric([tblStyles].
[StyleName]),AppLoadString([tblStyles].[StyleName]),
[tblStyles].[StyleName])'" After clicking OK, I get
another similar msg and then a last msg "Invalid use of
Null".

Any suggestions as I can not find any reference to these
errors elsewhere?

Any help would be much appreciated.

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.
