I am using Access 97. I have a cascaded menu in my switchboard. To improve
the ergonomics of the system I would like the Start menu to be automaticaly
displayed when a form or report is closed.

Thanks Douglas. Could you tel me what the
code would be?

Type DoCmd.OpenForm in the event code, then put the cursor on it, and press
F1. That will give you more info than you should expect from a newsgroup
response; in any case, you haven't told us the names of your Forms, etc., so
we couldn't be more specific, anyway.

Thanks Larry. All I needed was a point in the right direction. I have found
this so often in Access. When creating my first database I spent many hours
reading up chapters only to find when I got to grips with it, that it wasn't
what I needed.
