I purchased a new computer with an OEM version of XP
HOME. My old computer had a full retail version of XP PRO
installed. I would like to switch them. Is that possible?
If so, how? Thank you, Jean

OEM versions of Windows XP cannot be installed on a different computer.
The license is bound to the original hardware configuartion and cannot be
tramsferred to a different computer. If you wish to upgrade to XP Pro,
you'll need to purchase a "retail upgrade version" of XP Pro.

You can read the Windows XP End-User License Agreement by going
to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter.

Greetings --

You cannot.

An OEM version must be sold with a piece of hardware (normally a
motherboard or hard rive, if not an entire PC) and is _permanently_
bound to the first PC on which it's installed. An OEM license, once
installed, is not legally transferable to another computer under _any_
circumstances.
