Switch off automatic suggested addresses when 'To' button clicked

I don't want to have a list off addresses appear when I start to type the
address for a mail. How do I switch this off? Thanks in advance for your
reply.

This auto-complete feature can not be disable.
Per default the last 30 addresses typed in will be remembered.
One can clear the list but it will be completed again.

IMHO this a nice feature.
An alternative is to click on the "To:" and select the address from the
contacts list.

'Tools|Options|Send', uncheck the "Automatically complete e-mail addresses
when composing" checkbox.
