svchost.exe

How can I check which services are related to svchost.exe? I've tried run
typing cmd then typing Tasklist/svc but it just says its an invalid command.
TIA..
 
Semms to be a shell process for any number of programs. Haven't found a way to determine which svhost is running which process. My task MAnager Processes are currently showing three instances of svhost running

perfectly normal. 3-5 instances is typical. are any using up an unusual
amount of cpu time? If not you're ok, if so you MAY have a virus that
masquerades as svchost. run a scan just to be sure, but it sounds like
you're ok.
 
I found a process explorer utility on sysinternals.com. I am having issues with High CPU with a svchost.exe file. This utility has lead me to the msvcrt.dll file being constantly called upon. If you are having the same issue and find a resolution, please post the fix to this thread. Thanks and good luck. John
