svchost.exe running high

My hard drive seems to be beating away when it should be
idle. I ahve looked at the Task Manager and the
svchost.exe is running at 18MB. Any ideas what this could
mean

Thanks for this. I have done this and found 5 entries for
DS Exploit whatever that is and then fixed them. svchost
is now running at 8mb approx. Thanks
