svchost.exe error

Have searched IE 6 "Browser" database for tips on how to
solve "svchost.exe has generated errors and Windows will
be shut down. You will need to restart your computer"
message and found one tip which I have applied along with
2 others and nothing has worked to rid this problem.
Downloaded Spy-bot, Stop-Sign and Norton Anti-Virus 2003
and none of it removed the error. PLEASE HELP!!! Please
send detailed step by step instructions.

Try CWShredder:

As this article explains, the CWS trojan currently doing the rounds
sometimes installs a file called svchost32.exe.

If this doesn't work, Download 'Hijack This!'.

Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Press that, save the log, load it in Notepad, and copy its contents. Most
of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything
yet.

Then go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/
where you'll get expert help.

Just Sign in, or post as a guest,and go to the Spyware and
Hijackware Removal section. Press "new topic", explain your problem, and
copy and paste the contents of the Hijack This log into your new message.
