I received 4 suspicious e-mails, from MS ?? The mail
refers to something called "September 2003, Cumulative
Patch", which it says I need to install now, all four e-
mails came with attachments. Two of the mails were
strange, stating unable to deliver to some unknown e-
mail, (like it's trying to e-mail out to others,
BAD??). I don't know how to contact MS without getting
lost in an inter-net maze.
I will not open any of these attachments although they
look legitimate. I updated my Norton just for the
latest. I will wait for more info. Anyone?

It is a hoax message, and probably includes a virus as an attachment. Delete
it immediately, and make sure it is deleted from the Deleted Items folder as
well. Microsoft NEVER sends out unsolicited email. All updates to your OS
should be obtained ONLY by clicking on the Windows Update button.

And if you notice the word "this" at the beginning at the sentence isn't
capitalized. It never fails, there is usually a typo in virus emails. I
guess it goes to show and just consider the source.

Sorry, posted without message.
Can I assume that you don't have to already have the
subject virus just because you are receiving the emails?
You would have to actually open and execute the
attachmenht. Correct?

I too have received these 4 e-mails, but my Norton picked up the fact
that they hid a virus and deleted them immediatly.
