if a patch requires a reboot, how is that handled by the SUS?

Does the machine automatically reboot, or is some sort of user intervention
required.
 
In gourp policy you can set the option to auto reboot or
wait for manual. Same place you tell workstations where
to look for update server. Have to have the MMC snapin
thatcomes with SUS SP1 download.

It depends on how you set it up. You can force the
reboot if you choose (it will notify the user that the
machine will restart in so many minutes) or you can set
it to only prompt the user to restart.
