So tell me this, if I use SUS in my environment to push
out windows updates the user can't truly apply the updates
to the computer because they don't have administrative
access? Am I reading this wrong or is that how it really
works? So once the client recieves the updates a local
administrator still has to go around and manually apply
the updates? Doesn't seem like there is a benefit of using
this. Please let me know if I'm wrong....I'd love to be
able to control the updates to my client machine from a
centralized location.

If you set the policy to automatically install it will install and give a
message to the Non admin user that the machine is going to reboot. if you
schedule the updates for the middle of the nigt\ht and leave the box on but
logged off it will install and reboot automatically

Does this mean, that the Updates are never installed when
I shut down the PC's during the night and the Update Time
is set to 3:00 AM? Isn't there a possiblity to install
the patches when the user is logged on?

Thanks for your help!
