I must have done something wrong. I'm trying to run SUS but it doesn't
let me set up clients and I dont know how to fix that. I'm not sure
what I did wrong i went over all the steps to set up SUS and i have
done it all. So I'm just really lost. If any one could help me I would
really like that.

Thanks,
Newman

SUS doesn't "set up clients" - you set up an SUS server, then configure the
clients to use it to download updates. I would suggest that you consider
using WSUS since SUS will be discontinued as of June 2006. If you insist on
using SUS, all the documentation on it is here:

You have tried what? How, exactly, are you trying to configure your
clients? GPO? Local settings? Does RSOP.MSC show the correct
configuration for your WSUS server?

Okay I got WSUS up and runing by goin through the guide that it came
with. I have it set up just like it said. I set up my deploment and in
the document it said that after you have deployment set up you will
beable to configure clients and thats where I'm stuck at.

thanks,
Newman

The clients are configured at the CLIENT computer, not from the server.
Check the white papers at the WSUS web site for details.

you know what I am not seeing any computer in my WSUS so I can send
out all updates. all the clients that i want WSUS to work with is
configured for it.

Thanks,
Newman

I'm sorry, I don't understand what your problem is. If the clients are
correctly configured they will check in with the WSUS server. If they are
not, they will not. It's that simple.

Again ... you are trying to do this completely backwards. You must make the
necessary changes on the CLIENT computers - the ones that you want to use
the WSUS server - BEFORE they will see and use the server. The
documentation at the WSUS site explain very clearly how to do this using
Active Directory or the Local Group Policy Editor. You MUST follow these
instructions or else you will never get it to work.
