Is it possible to supress the "Invalid System Date and time" message the
XP(e) displays if the CMOS time is at default (ie 1980)? How does XP
determine if the time/date reported by the Bios is invalid?

Thanks,
Pete

I have never seen this message.

For suppressing various types of errors and messages read link, you might
find it useful.

I can guess that XP can assume that if you current year is set to date
before of first XP release that then it is not valid year.

You should be able to reproduce the problem by rolling back your cmos clock
to say, 1980.
