Hey, I'm new here and I've got a question that someone has most likely answered. I have Windows Xp Home Edition...and when I open up my internet browser...on all the sites i go to...words are highlighted..words that shouldn't be. When I'm checking my hotmail...the word "hotmail" is highlighted.

Does anybody know anything about this...or know how to get rid of it?

Any help would be great, sorry if this isn't comprehendable.

Are you sure they are not links? Links are generally highlighted.

Are all, or any of the words that are highlighted the same words that you typed into the search bar? If so, it might be because you have the 'Highlight feature' enabled in your browser toolbar options. I have both MSN, and Google toolbars, both have the highlight feature. Look on your toolbar and if there is an 'options' button, click it and see if the 'highlight 'button is checked. If it is turn it off, it may require a restart(reboot) of your pc to allow the change.
