I wouldn't care if this ran or not except I need this to work so I can run
speed tests at DSLReports.com. The applet did not appear when I attempted
to run a speed test (it worked sporadically prior to SP2). I downloaded the
Sun Java software and installed it. I confirmed that the option was set in
IE. Still, when I run DSLReports speed test, the applet does not start.
When I click on "check Java version" on the DLSReports site, I get a message
that says my browser does not support Java. Can someone help me with this?
I would really like this to work. Thank you.

Have you checked the Control Panel "Java Plug-in" applet? Start that,
click the "Browser" tab and make sure the "Microsoft Internet
Explorer" tab is checked (assuming you're using IE). If you're using
Netscape or a Mozilla product, check those boxes too.

Tim - Thank you for your reply. Yes, the Microsoft Internet Explorer tab is
checked. Also, in my IE Options/Advanced settings, there is now an entry
for "Java (Sun)" and the "Use Java..." entry is checked.
