Sum the value across multi worksheets

I would like to sum the value of several worksheets.
Exmple; 1st Qtr, 2nd Qtr... etc. Have total of all 4
Qtrs. appear on 4th Qtr. worksheet.
I have tried using =SUM(sheet1:sheet4!F35)

that WILL work if the value desired is in f35 on each sheet. It will sum
sh1,sh2,sh3,sh4
 
Is sheet1 to the left of "1st qtr" and is sheet4 to the right of "4th qtr"?

Kind of like a sandwich with all the sheets to be summed the meat and sheet1 and
sheet4 the bread?

If no, try making an excel sandwich.
