MSAS does in fact scan the registry once it finishes
scanning the hard drive. Tracks Eraser is only for
deleting possible tracking issues, i.e. data files, not
program files nor their associated registry files. If
they would put this feature into Tracks Eraser, you could
end up with a broken system. The reason for this is in
order to ensure that the associated program files are not
damaged when the registry is cleaned. Another problem is
that most people don't backup their registry, and
cleaning the registry without scanning and cleaning the
associated program files can cause a huge nightmare for
even the most experienced users.
