Moving from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003. When creating a new e-mail
message in OE, I could type one or two letters and OE would complete the
address based on entries in the Address Book.

Outlook doesn't seem to do that. It can remember name/addresses previously
entered, but won't suggest names from the Address Book.

Is there any way to enable that function in Outlook 2003?

Thanks.

Outlook will do autocomplete, but it doesn't look up anything in your
address book - it relies on what you've used before. It will continue to
learn - give it time.

It also uses autoresolve, which will help you now - type in part of a
name/address (at least three letters) and press the Check Names button or
press F9. That *does* do lookups to your contacts folders/address books.

Outlook is not OE and vice versa - they're entirely separate programs,
despite their similar names - don't expect everything to be as you're used
to. You will get a lot more out of Outlook than OE, but you'll need to learn
what's different as you go along.
