How are you going to stop someone from spewing spam from some other host
who is using your e-mail address in the From header? If the bounceback
message includes a full copy of the original but returned message then
check its Received headers to track it back to the first mail server to
see if it is yours.

Rule #1: viruses and spammers spoof senders.
Rule #2: innocent bystanders get NDRs.

Probably nothing to worry about; just delete.

Hi,
My name is David. I have experienced a similar problem and have been
deleting these unwanted returns.
The problem is they come in everyday, and in numbers that overwhelm my
abitilty to see my regular mail.
Is there anything I can do to have these junks automatically removed or
prevented?
Since the from and the subject fields are random, I was'nt able to filter
them out using the email filtering facilities that are built into Outlook.
Any ideas?

Most often, when you are getting emails returned to you that you never sent
it is because someone that has your email address in their address book has a
virus or worm. It is impossible to tell whose account is sending this out,
but most likely everyone in that person's address book is dealing with the
same issue. The virus (or worm) sends bulk emails and puts your email
address in the from field - when these emails get bounced by a server they
come back to you because they think they are from you. Also, these emails do
not show up in the sent items folder of the person who is actually
unknowingly sending them.

I started to receive the junk emails after I responded to an email that led
me to a website where I browsed thro the products they offerd. I did not buy
anything because I thought the products were illegitimate (software).

The real question is how to stop this from happening. What do we do? Please
will someone respond....

You really can't do anything but set up a filter to delete them...

The only thing you can do is to block the sender's address or filter the
messages in some other fashion. To keep it from happening again, change the
scripting ability in your Internet Zone so that scripts will run only when
you allow them. It was with a script that the SPAMmers determined your
email address.
