Laptop computer with XP Home Edition when turned on gives company logo then
Windows XP Home screen shows up but then screen goes black-no error
messages. Therefore I cannot get to the start button and run, or any
applications.
I can however get into Safe Mode. I have checked the Startup programs but I
did not see anything abnormal. Is there anything else I can do or should I
just do a reinstallation of Windows XP Home?
I have found LSASS in C:\I386 and lsass in C:\Windows\System32 but I
understand that it can be in different places.
Is there anywhere that I can find what normal applications should be running
while using the Task Manager?
Thanks for any suggestions.
