Although I'm already subscribed, I keep getting a request to subscribe
to these newgroups.
 
You mean when NEW groups are added?

Be more specific. When, and how, do you get these requests? It is only
informational, for you to act upon - or not.

No, when the NG are already there. Every time I try to open a NG, or
when I ask for "Get Msgs".

I keep being asked if I want to subscribe to this and all my other
newsgroups everytime I try to launch one.

In addition, I have put a limit of 35 messages to be dowloaded, and it
is being ignored completely. Where am I corrupted?

I'm Using Netscape NG listings in News.Verizon.net
