Subject line dissapears when sending Mail merge emails

When I do a email mail Merge, I have disvovered that the subject line does
not get included when it is sent out. Apparently lots of servers block these
to stop SPAM. How do I get it to send out the subject line in Mail Merge
emails?
 
I've never seen a case of the subject being dropped. What steps are you
following to set it?
 
I've just been following the wizard. I haven't had a
merge field in the subject line, I've just had a standard
subject line. When I look into the sent items box, all
the email's haven't had a subject.

I've imported the names and addresses from an excell
spreadsheet which works fine. just the subject line
causing problems.

I'd try it again. As I said, I've never seen any reports of such a problem.
You might want to run Help | Detect and Repair. Your Outlook version might
also be interesting information.
