subform that doesn't look like a subform?

I have a form and subform for data entry of information that goes in 2
different tables. Is there a way to blend the subform into the main form so
it looks like just one form? Besides the cosmetic benefits it will avoid any
confusion my user(s) may have seeing what looks like 2 forms opening at once.

Do you mean you don't want the border around the subform to show? If so,
set the border style property to transparent.

Nope...and yes. The border goes away, but the formatting of the main form
(i.e. the pretty patterns and colors) is repeating on the subform so it looks
like the main form's mini-me. I want that subform to blend in (no pretty
patterns except matching the background...Does that make sense?

Remove the pretty picture from the main form and the Mini me subform, instead
set both the forms back colour to a nice shade of blue, silver or what ever
you like but not a picture.

Hope this helps????

Kindest Regards

That's kinda' what I was figuring I'd have to do. It was one of the template
formattings from the wizard. I got it to go away on the main form and in the
details section of the subform, but the rest of the subform isn't changing.
Am I missing something? Changing the main form was easy! I wish I could put a
picture of it on here so you can see what it's doing.

Make sure that the "Special Effect" on the subform container control
(control that houses the subform on the main form) is not set to anything
but FLAT. And then make sure the outline is set to TRANSPARENT.

Did you select the properties for the subform? There is a little box made up
where the two rulers come together on the upper lefthand side of the subform
in design view. Click in the little box, it will then have a black dot. Now
right click and select properties. On the subforms properties, delete the
bitmap on the Format Tab.

The whole picture should now be gone?????

Bob,
All the "special effect" for the different sections of the subform are set
to "flat". There is no "special effect" option for the subform as a whole.

There's no option for border or outline to be able to set to "transparent"
on any part of the subform...unless I'm completely blind, which I don't think
I am. :)

When I open the subform by itself (not with the main form) it opens with the
first record displayed. Unless this is normal? It shows up blank inside the
main form...which it should. Just wanted to check I don't have another issue
here.

Mike,
Yes, I was in the subform properties. Not sure what you meant by that
"bitmap" bit, but I am getting closer...Okay...Now all that's left is some
funky border on the left side with a little right-pointing arrow of some
sort. It's on the main form and the subform.

This has been arduous! Thanks for your help! :)
