Can anyone give me a simple example of subclassing a control, for example a
message box?? to add some functionality (anything)

If you can wait a few days, I'll be able to share my "Access Answers" column
from the May, 2005 edition of Pinnacle Publication's "Smart Access" with
you. It was about extending the Message Box use subclassing. (Unfortunately,
I'm not able to publish the columns on my web site until 6 months after the
issue has come out)

Check http://www.accessmvp.com/DJSteele/SmartAccess.html sometime next
month...

Me too. I need to a better understanding of the use of class modules in my
apps, but it hard to come by exampes of this. Some of the recommandations
are along the line of, that if multiple integrated functions seems to become
complex it may be time to look into using a class, but I'd like to hear
about some examples of the use of these things.

and btw, Brad - check out the "online only" subscription to Smart Access. a
fantastic value for the price (which is less than you might pay for a single
book on Access at the bookstore) especially because you gain immediate
access to seven years worth of back issues besides the current subscription
year.

(watch the line-wrap; all of the above should be on one line in your browser
Address bar.)
