Style Sheets do not work with my FrontPage site

I created a website in Frontpage and an external style sheet in a .css
editor. I linked them, and they don't work. Links are properly
inserted to the <head> section of the pages, and the style sheet is
good as well. Everything is in the right directiory, the style sheet
file name is correct, etc.
Where do you think the problem is? What did I disregard?
Please let me know.
