There is no Microsoft supported method to slipstream SP1
with Vista into a new disc. Please see the following:

MS has NOT "put an end to slipstreaming Service packs"! The new procedure
just is not ready for SP1.

The reason SP1 can't be slipstreamed - it actually can, bit it is
MUCH more complicated - is because the install DVDs are a
completely different format than previously used, and there are
multiple versions of Vista on the DVD (Home, Business, Ultimate,
etc.). By the time SP2 comes along, this will once again be
supported and will be incredibly easy. All that should be required
is to copy SPs and other updates to the Update folder in the root of the DVD
image and you are done. The new Vista installer will
take care of the rest.

Have you heard any estimate on when this happy day will come?

Where can I buy me Vista Ultimate, so I can drop a wad of my cash & get
all those extras MS is developing instead of finding a way to slipstream
SPs into Vista?
