Wild Bill 2

I have a strange problem. In all of my email replies (Outlook Express
6 and Eudora 6.1) I have a vertical line at the begining of each line
in the quoted email I'm replying to. I use to have the character > at
the begining of each line and I liked that because it helped identify
who had sent what. Now I have the vertical line |.

Since this is the same in two different email programs it must be
something common to Win XP.

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
MB Intel Springdale i865
MEM: 512 MB PC3200 DDR Sdram
Video Card: NVIDIA Ge Force FX 5200
Hard Drive: Ultra DMA 160 GB
OS: Windows XP SP1

Thanks.

Bill

Thanks for the post. I have tried all of the characters shown above
but nothing works for me. All I can get is the vertical line like | at
the begining if every line in both OE and Eudora.

Any other suggestions.

This is driving me crazy.

Thanks for your help and post.

I think I may have found out what works.

In OE^ Tools > Options > Send . . . . Uncheck "Reply to messages using
format in which they were sent."

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and walking softly.

Thanks.
