Strange title in system configuration utility

I wasnt sure where to post this question but when i open up my system
configuration utility one of the programs it says runs is nothing but a bunch
of squares and squiggle bits, is it ment to be there or do you think it has
somethign to do wit a virus or spyware.

I assume you mean a program under the "startup" tab in the system
configuration utility? Do you have Adaware or Spybot installed? Have you
scanned for viruses?

and do a scan for viruses if you haven't done so already.

Adaware and Spybot are both free and can be found with a Google search.
