(Please excuse if this posts twice, I was not logged in the first time
and my message did not show up, so i post again now...MF)

I cannoot find a solution for a very annoying habit that my computer
has immediately after Re-booting.

Firstly, my current "Theme" is not correct. I have selected an "windows
classic" style theme, it however always boots to a Blue XP them with a
blue backbround to the icon text. Very unattractive, but hardly
important.

Secondly, and much more irritating, Webpages (yes ANY webpages) are
displayed with a white background, with extra large black font size.

Strangly, this behavior lasts for approximately 15 to 20 minutes (it
maybe exactly the same amount of time, i have just NOT timed it) and
then, the screen flickers, the theme goes to normal and the webpage
will then display correctly.

Here I have made a screenshot of before and after, this shows only the
effect on a google webpage:

I hope someone can help.

I'd suspect a problem with your video card. It's obviously not the
drivers since bad drivers would give you a bad result immediately. Swap
out your card with a known-working one and see if that fixes things. If
it does, replace the faulty card.

Maybe I should have said,.. its a laptop. A year old Sony Vaio.. would
a video card affect actual content?...as in font sizes changing, and
Themes changing?
but maybe it IS the drivers, (even thought you say it isnt) it IS
affected imediatly after reboot, and then corrects after a while..

Well, I don't say it *isn't*, although I think it is more probably the
hardware. It is easy enough to update the drivers to find out. Go to
Sony's tech support site and download the drivers for your specific
machine. If the drivers don't help, then call Sony tech support.
