Strange sentence appears when I start a new Outlook e-mail.

Everytime I start a new e-mail in Outlook 2003, this sentence
appears:"Withdraws, loses interest, is irritable, not as sensitive to others'
feelings and/or is uncharacteristically angry when frustrated or tired". This
has appeared from the first time I started to send an e-mail
and it is not something that I have ever written! I can
delete it, but it is back with the next new e-mail. I've tried everything I
could think of to fix it and nothing
works.

Have you looked to see if you have signatures setup? Tools Options Mail
Format

No, I don't have signatures set up, mostly because I don't know how,
but what does that have to do with that depressing sentence? Thanks,
Grannybnana

Can you follow the flow of conversation? Jumping to top posting after the
conversation follow-ups are bottom posted make the conversation difficult to
follow and people wont follow it. You'll lose help.

I didn't say you had set them up. The effect you have described can be
produced in the way I said. If you don't look you won't know if someone else
has done it. If set you can remove it- but only if you look.

I replied once, but it went away! No, I don't have signatures set up,
mostly because I don't know how, but what would that have to do with
that strange sentence? Thanks,

It's not hard to understand, please follow the flow of conversation, jumping
to top posting - well you've been told already. Look at the end of this
post.

Again top posting. Sorry, no more replies from me if you can't follow the
flow of conversation..

In Outlook menu go to tools, options, mail format tab, signatures - you may
find the annoying sentence has been set up there as a signature.

(Note how the reply is on top, to the point and immediately readable.)

I looked - no, I don't have anything set up for signatures. And the
top of the page is where the system takes me when I click "reply". I didn't
know I could come down here and just start typing.
Thanks, GB

Do you not feel that your top-posting of this compaint was somewhat
contradictory...?

Jo

How's this? I got the impression from Alan Smith that he wanted my
reply under his. No?

This doesn't seem to help anyone does it? Or does it make you think you are
clever? You're not- unless you actually have some helpful advice for the
poster that you've kept secret?

The idea is that you follow the flow of conversation so it can be followed.
Jumping to top posting after the conversation/replies have been posted means
it is difficult to follow. The same happens if all the replies have been top
posted then you switch to a bottom post. Make it possible to follow by not
changing part way through- which is what I said.

Posting in order means the conversation can be followed without jumping up
and down- people lose patience and you may lose help if it is difficult to
follow what is happening. Bottom posting was the original way of posting but
top posting has become more frequent since Microsoft released programs that
put the cursor at the top.

Signatures was the most likely place for this to be added.

When you create a new mail is the format plain, rich text or html ? What
happens if you change this to plain text, and set the default to plain text?

Thank you all for your help. It was, indeed,
something someone set up as a signature - 3
times! I deleted them all, and now it is not
there. Of course, now I get send and e-mail.
Help!
