Hi,

This is not the usual problem with searching within text files! My
problem is that the search does not work at all, would not return
anything even if I search for *.* files. What is really strange that it
happens only on one share drive. It works as it should for my C drive
and all the other share drives; even on a ClearCase one.
I can manually browse through that strange share, can create and delete
files and folders; the only thing that is not working is the search
function.
Do you know what I should look for to correct that? I wonder if there
are any privileges on the drive that I would have to gain to allow
searching or something like that.
This is a business computer with NT domains set up.
(As an additional insult the search seems to work for other people).

Jacek.

No results are returned when you search for files or for folders over a
slow network link in Windows Server 2003 or in Windows XP

See if anything here helps:

Select S and scroll to Search.

Did the suggestion from Brian A. work for you or what resolved this for you?
I have one XP sp2 machine in my corp network that is exibiting this very
issue.

TIA
