Strange Reply Address Problem

I have a user that has been corresponding with one of her Contacts for a
number of years. Just this week when she hits Reply the return address in
the To: field is a few question marks. It looks like this: ?? ?? Always
before it would post the proper return address. This smells like a virus
but my users system is clean.

Has anyone seen this before and what was the cause/solution?

Does this person have a record in their contact folder? If so, check that
record, make sure the Display Name is correct there.

What version of Outlook are they using?
