Strange rebooting problem

Hi,

My system has been working perfectly fine till this morning, till i moved it
to be my assistants table. Now it refuses to boot. First time, it just went
into hibernation as it booted up. Next time, the screen gave the option of
deleting the restoration data and continue booting. I took that as the other
option did not work. Now it Only keeps rebooting with the message that there
was a startup problem last time. Now even safe mode, or safe mode to command
prompt does not work.

I have been using XP Prof as a single user system for many months. I wanted
to set it up for use by my assistant too. So I made some change in security
settings. I removed the Everyone user where i thought it was not required.

Another thing is that there was a change of monitor at my assistant s table
and a different UPS which did not have the serial interface i used at my desk.

Right now, my system has been rendered totally unworkable. What could have
gone wrong? Any support please?

Thanks in advance.

At this point your best option is to do a Repair Install of your
Windows XP as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Good luck

Highly probable something's got disturbed internally. Carefully reseating
everything (particularly the memory and disk connectors) may cure it. Also
check the case for foreign objects, e.g. screws dropped by a careless
system-builder, which might've lodged behind the mobo.
