Strange Problem with IE 6.0

OS = win xp home edition
software came with my dell computer.

My broswer seems to have been hijacked and I noticed the
problem while posting on forums (message boards).

Here is a description of what is happening to me:

I attempt to post in a forum. If I happen to need the
word 'books' then, after I click on Preview Post, the
word 'books' appears as a link and as if by magic it looks
like this:

a href="http://get-faster.com?go=books"
onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: books';return 1"
onmouseout="window.status=''">books</a
(i have removed the first and last bracket so you can see
what this looks like)

The problem appears to happen only when I preview a post
and only when i use the word 'books'.

Some program hiding in the background seems to be
trigerred by the word 'books' and automatically adds url
tags when I click on Preview Post so that after I have
posted text in a forum the word 'books' appears as a link
for other viewers.

The problem only happens with IE, I tried using Mozilla
and Opera browsers and they worked fine.

I searched google and found other people who seem to have
the same problem:

http://www.fateswarning.com/fwboard/messages/90706.html
(Scroll down the page until you get to the 10th paragraph,
the guy who posted this seems to have the same problem but
with the word 'insurance').

I have tried Adaware, virus scanners, IE updates. Nothing
has worked so far and I am on the brink of reinstalling
the entire operating system.

I hope someone here can help me,
thank you.

Use another browser IE stinks.
