Hi there, I hve a strange problem I cant seem to solve. Im using a laptop as
my workstation. I have a wire broadband connection to my desktop computer at
home and use a Netgear Wlan adapter to create a connection to my laptop. So
when im home i use a wireless connection to my laptop where my Outlook 2003
is installed.

I also take my computer on a daily basis to my school where we also have a
wireless connection. The connection itself is not the problem. I connect
automaticly wherever I am.

However the strange problem is as follows:

I have three accounts in my outlook:
1 x hotmail (not affected by problem)
2 x Pop (lets say account Y and X )

Now when i use outlook on my wireless connection at home account Y cannot
send email messages. It can recieve and everything else but NOT send
emailmessages. Even when i test the settings in the accountswindow it cannot
send out a testmessage. Account X works fine.

Now here is the strange part. When i access outlook on the network at school
the problem is the same HOWEVER the affected account is X NOT Y. Y account
works fine now.

Hotmail account works without problems on either network.

Ive tried to solve this problem but since its such strange problem i cannot
even find anything remotley close to a solution.

Maybe you guys could provide me with some help.
Thanks

Let's say you have Road Runner Cable Modem service at home, and the
school has different an Internet Service Provider. Road Runner will not
allow people who are not on their networks to use their SMTP server
(outgoing mail server). For example, in your POP account profile, you
have set smtp.isp.com as the outgoing mail server. You are now on the
school network and trying to send a mail, Road Runner will deny your
access for using their SMTP server because you are connecting from an IP
address that is not part of their network.
