I have a strange problems going on. While in design view, I can not use copy,
cut, or paste due to it being dimmed out on my toolbar. Same is true for
horizonal spacing and vertical spacing. I have several databases so I tried
going to a few of them and the same is true in all of them.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks for your reply, Gina. While in design view, there are certain, labels,
boxes, unbound text boxes, that I use of each form, so I may go copy one of
them and bring them onto a new form. When I click on one of these to copy,
the toolbar remains greyed in. I can right click and get it to copy from the
shortcut menu and after that the toolbar will enable. It hasn't always acted
this way.

On the horizonal and vertical spacing, I have used it alot, in design view,
to space my fields evenly. It also, has always worked in the past, from the
menu. Now when I highlight the fields I want to space evenly, both choices
are greyed out. I had to add them different commands to a custom toolbar to
use them.

Hope this helps explain better what's going on,
Shane

And if you just click the copy button even when greyed out?
I have the same (so probably standard behaviour) but a click makes a copy
anyhow.

Forgot to ask what version you are using, so my answer is based in Access
2003

My copy function remains greyed out until I actually select a control to
copy and paste. My copy and paste is under Edit, is that where yours are?

As far as I know, horizonal and vertical spacing only work when more then
one control is selected, is that how you are using it?

Also, exactly what version of Access are you using and is this a converted
database and is it on a network?
