Strange Outlook Problem Sending Mail

Hi all... I'm about out of options to figure out this one. I'm hoping
someone out here has some ideas to help resolve this problem.

We have a client that has four workstations in their office. Two of the
machines are sending email fine and the other two get a "Transport Provider
not Found" error every time they try to send. They are using Exchange 5.5
and are using their ISP to send/recieve Internet mail. All machines have the
same settings for the ISP in Outlook (mail.isp.net) and they are all
pointing to the same DNS server. In talks with the ISP, they assure us that
nothing has changed on their end, and they could not resolve the problem
either. All settings seemed to be perfect in Outlook including the usernames
and passwords used to log into the ISP SMTP server.

Of course, the clients claimed nothing changed on their end either, all
outbound email stopped working at the same time on the two machines that had
trouble. About the only thing we could identify was that both users ran
Windows Update about the same time last Wednesday (I believe that was the
ADO.stream update patch) but I couldn't find it in Windows Add/Remove
prgrams to roll it back.

Any ideas out there? Has anyone else had similar problems?

Thanks,
Marc

Upgrade them to Outlook 2003 or remove the internet e-mail service
form this profile and create a second profile for sending internet
e-mail.

I'll try that Chris. Thanks.
