I am editing someone else's document. In Final View and Final Document
Markup, you can see light gray marks that look similar to [ (a bracket) .
This seems to start happening with the first numbered list. When I click on
the number, I cannot delete it and when I click on the text next to it, I
cannot delete it. I clicked on the formatting numbered lists and on the
customizing button and see nothing causing it either. It looks like tabs are
set above it, but I clicked on tabs and see nothing wrong. How do I get this
out? It is all over the document and I have to get this done fast!

Can someone please answer this? Thanks!

What you describe sounds like the way Word displays bookmarks. Try going to
Tools > Options > View (or in Word 2007, Office button > Word Options > Advanced
Show document content) and, if the Bookmarks option is checked, uncheck it.

If they are bookmarks, they won't print even if they're visible on screen.
