I hope this is the right place to post this question...
I have Win XP Home and also have a webcam installed on my machine. In
looking on the Startup tab in MSCONFIG, I noticed a checkmark at a
WebCamRT.exe file. The Command column next to this file is empty, while the
Location shows Registry. Looking in the Registry
HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run, I found that the Data
field for this WebCamRT.exe is empty.
The questions: What this file is for? Do I have to keep it in the Startup
checked? Do I need it in the Registry? May I remove it from the Registry
safely?
TIA

Hi,

It's a question you should ask of Logitech support. The file is theirs,
though it is not needed for normal operation of your camera. It can be
safely disabled.

Rick,
thanks a lot for pointing to Logitech. I checked with their site and found
that it is for Spotlife which I have on my machine!
Thanks again.
