Strange DNS problem

I have a PC in the office that has correct DNS addresses loaded but cannot
resolve the names. I can go to pages via IP addresses but not domain names.

All the other PCs with the same info in their TCP/IP settings work fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

By "correct DNS addresses loaded", I presume that you mean DNS servers
configured. And verified in "ipconfig /all"?

That being the case, you might want to check for LSP / Winsock corruption.

Thank you very much for the reply. I did get it working by doing a system
restore to a few days back. I believe you are correct in suggesting a
winsock corruption. By restoring a previous registry I think the winsock
entries were corrected.

Thanks.
