Strange Critical Update

I updated WinXP (update MS03-026). The update installed and now any
time I go to the win-update it is always there for download. I
checked the registry and the update is installed. Strange!.
Any suggestion on how to fix this minor problem?

I was getting the same thing, I believe with that particular update too. I
don't know if I cured it by re-booting after the update, but it did stop the
repetition. The re-boot wasn't required, I just thought it might make the
update "stick"! Seems to have worked, although I can't prove it.

The update did not register properly in the system when it was installed.
