I have a PPT presentation which contains a bullet character 0xD8 from
Wingdings. It's kind of a right pointing arrow.

I am viewing this presentation on two computers using PPTViewer 2003
running WinXP home.
On one computer the bullet displays correctly on the other I get just
blank boxes.

What\where do I need to change on the other computer to display
correctly this character.
Thanks,
Nathan

What do you mean installed? When I looked at the character map on that
computer I found the Windings and the character in question.
Doesn't this mean that the font is installed or there is something
else that I need to do?

Which computer is "that computer"? Assuming you mean the one where the blank
boxes appear in PPT, then it probably means that Wingdings is installed ok and
that something other than a missing font is to blame. Let's call this PC2.

Can you use Wingdings on PC2 to insert the same right-arrow character into,
say, WordPad?

Thanks, PC2 is in another location and because of bad weather I will
not be able to try it till Tuesday but I am buffled what is going on
here.

Buffled ... halfway from baffled to buffaloed? I like it!
Or "baffaloed"? ;-)

Let us know what you find out when you get a chance to try on the other PC.
