We are running Outlook 2003 on all our desktops, some of them have started
showing the same issue/problem...

When you send an email the outbox stays bold until you click somewhere
else in Outlook.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and/or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

I can also confirm (just checked) that the mail in outbox isn't being sent
until that click happens.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Dave asked:

This seems to be a growing problem. I now have 3 users out of >100 that need
to click on various buttons to cycle and sometimes they even click the new
button?
They are using Office XP and none of them have made any changes to the
options or mail setup area. I notice several other post to be similar in
nature. I have already set the timing to cyle every 2 min and we are not
using Norton or McAfree. I can recall a setting in Outllook that allows
items to cycle as it is sent, but where I forget.

Read the answers that have been given already.

Brian,

I do not have ISA running either, my environment is Exchange and Server 2003
and the problem is on a few W2K and a XPSP2 with Outlook XP and 2003. The MS
article mentioned turning off the firewall on the client PC, that has been
done with no luck. But it is interesting odd things have been happening with
the XPSP2 clients such as VPN issues and wireless issues lately, probably not
related? I will look at this post and the general post for any ideas.

None of the work arounds mentioned help, still having problem.

Any other ideas?
