I recorded a tv show through media center, and would like to store it on
DVD...In looking at the help section, there was no mention of this. Does
anyone know if and how this can be done?

Yes you can store movies on DVD. You need the software that can convert to
Mpeg2 which you may already have. You may want to post some specs of your
computer.

Thanks for the info Cliff. I haven't done the discussion group thing before,
and don't really know what specs would be usefull (or even if I know what
they are). Would you be able to suggest any relevant specs, or examples of
the software that you are referring to?

Thanks!

Well if you have a system that came with a DVD recorder then you may have
the software installed. You just have to identify it and learn to use it.
There most likely will be help files once you launch the application. This
can be a bit confusion but if you have questions fee free. What DVD Recorder
is installed?

I use Windows Meadia Center to record shows all the time.

Here is how I make them play on a DVD (for a dvd player I assume).

1. Record the Show

2. Do a search on my HD to find the file(s)

3. I use Roxio DVD burning software, and one of the options is to make
this a playable DVD, I select that option and enter the show(s) I want
to burn.

I assume you can get a trial version of Roxio, and there may be
freeware products out there.
