In Outlook Express you can choose the directory where you store the OE
data.
Is this possible with Outlook (2002)?
That way, if I reinstall Windows, then I can tell O2002 where to look
for the data and I don't lose it if there is a crash on C drive!

Certainly is, but you have to do it manually AFAIK. Close Outlook. Just move
the pst file to where you want to keep it and when you open Outlook it will
complain that it can't find the file. Just navigate to the new location.

Great! Works a treat. Next question: Once I have done this, will all the
signatures, Rules wizard files etc. be in that (new) directory as well
or will they still read from the old C:\ Documents and
Settings...\Application Data\Microsoft...\ etc directory?

Pass on that one, I'm not sure. You can also put your sig files wherever you
like as well.

Starting with Outlook 2002, the rules are stored in the PST, but will have
to be stepped through again to reset them to the new delivery location.

What do you mean "stepped through" please...?

O... and so once I have moved everything to the new directory - what
other *must have* files should I make sure are moved (and any special
attention as to where they are stored and changes to make)?
