Storage - Outlook 2003
What is the best solution to store all email archives?
If I keep user emails on Exchange server it is too much to backup.
If I Archive to Network Share I will increase data size over all and make it
even harder to backup.
If I burn it on DVDs it won't be readable for users and not accessible from
Citrix server and Backup.

Any scenario or suggestion is welcome. Users don't want to delete/clean
their emails.

Obviously, I don't know the type of company you work for or if you are in
the USA so this may or may not apply. E-mail archiving is getting to be a
significant legal issue these days. Please have a chat with your legal
department as there are federal regulations (new regulations went into
affect as late as last December) that affect how e-mail can be used during
litigation. E-mail archiving and an e-mail retention policy are critical
components and can mean the difference between losing a court case and not.

There are many third-party applications and services that will solve the
archiving problem. I suggest you do some research on it...there's tons of
information on the net. IT cannot do it alone...legal needs to be involved.
If legal won't help you...document the fact that you tried in case someone
begins asking questions later.

Beside archiving service with www.fivepoints.net company I have to solve
this problem in order to enable:
- All users to have full and instant access to all his/her emails (5GB * 100
users)
- Offline storage access and Citrix access
- Exchange backup
- Fileserver backup

Thank you Tim
