Stopping sound

Hey,

I have some sound buttons on all of my slides in a
presentation. When clicked, the associated sound is
played. However, I cannot get the sound to stop by
clicking the button again. The only way I can stop the
sound is by clicking somewhere else on the slide, but
that advances to the next slide!

How can I stop a sound which is playing?

Oh, I'm using 2003 and have already tried setting
the 'Stop When Clicked' option in the Effects window. It
doesn't work. :^.
