ok, having put service pack 4 on a few machines, they all have the error
whereby it takes 60 seconds to log off and does not save the profile
(userenv error 1000). I found that if you stop the print spooler service
before logoff then this stops the problem. This is fine for the people in
our IT dept as we all log on with administrator privileges ( i have a batch
file that just runs net stop...i also have one net start set to run at log
on). However, any non administrator is unable to complete the command due to
insufficient privileges (including power users) and therefore their profile
is not saved. Any ideas as to how to set it up. (and in case people worry if
this is an escalation of privileges issue, i am perfectly happy that the
resolution requires admin logon to setup).
cheers
