Ggateway lap top with xp working yesterday, boots but only
goes to the product screen.
I've done reset, f-8, last good config, tried booting from
cd-rm with full ver disk, noting works. Even tried a:
bootable, which only boots to a: nothing else meaning no
c:, e: but can execute MS-DOS files.

When I tried F8, "directory services restore mode"
got it to veriy "c" but hung on the product screen.

The last good time it worked was on the plane back to
Miami, I was installing Corel 11, and the battery just
died.

I tried to reboot without the cd disk and never got
past the product screen and the battery died again. Took
it home PLUGGed it in and the same thing.

I'm baffed, anybody got an idea on this one. Andrew

Product screen = " Deep Blue screen top and bottom, with
the Microsoft WINDOWS xp in the middle of the screen with
that multi colored flag, on a background of Sky blue."

Thanks again for any tech help.
